Michael emailed me the other day, and from what I gather, he’s asking people to donate a monetary amount of their choosing to the Special Olympics for each medal that Lolo Jones wins. My name is Michael Fahner and I am a rising fourth year student at the University of Virginia. In an effort to raise money for the Special Olympics, I have helped start a campaign where individuals can pledge donations (as little as $1) for achievements by their favorite athletes in the 2012 Olympics.
Pledges such as $1 to the Special Olympics for every Lolo Jones medal are growing, and I was hoping you might be interested in helping me. Below are a few links to pledges. Each pledge is designed to spread virally, so that every Lolo Jones medal (for example) brings in big donations for the Special Olympics—without costing any individual too much!
